Graphic Device Overview

Our graphic device adds depth and dimension to our visual identity. These assets symbolize both the complexity of cancer diagnosis and treatment, and how we bring together high quality resources and insights with our testing and data. These graphics reflect our collaborative and supportive role as we see the bigger picture: moving cancer care forward for all. Our graphic devices, inspired by the Veracyte emblem, bring versatility and cohesion to our brand identity. These elements exist in two forms: 3D-rendered graphics that add depth and dimensionality and 2D designs that ensure clarity.

Dimensional Graphic Element

3D renders are best reserved for high-impact brand moments and key customer interactions, where their added dimension can create a memorable visual experience. Ideal applications include social media banners, website homepages, Teams backgrounds, and product packaging.

Flat Graphic Element

The 2D container system is part of the broader Veracyte visual identity, building on the brand’s established shape language to bring structure and consistency to static content. These pieces echo the forms introduced in the masterbrand guidelines, reinforcing familiarity across touchpoints. Each container is designed to adapt to different types of content, including imagery, data, or messaging, while maintaining a cohesive look that aligns with the visual system. This helps teams create branded materials that feel connected and easy
to navigate, no matter the format.

Flat Graphics with Imagery

The graphic system for imagery brings structure and consistency to how we present photography. These containers use Veracyte’s shape language to create a recognizable visual pattern across materials while keeping the focus on the human moments that matter most. Use the following principles when placing imagery in these containers:

image

A

Maximize impact

Always use the largest available shape container that fits the layout to give the image space to connect with the viewer.

B

Keep subjects centered

Center the focus of the image, such as a person or interaction, to maintain balance and visual clarity.

C

Preserve spacing

Allow a minimum of 6 points of padding around the image to maintain clarity and avoid crowding.

D

Reinforce the brand

The bottom portion of the shape uses branded color blocks to ground the layout and visually link the image to the Veracyte system.

Flat Graphics with Text

The graphic system for text establishes a structured, unified framework for presenting callouts. By leveraging Veracyte’s distinctive shape language, these containers form a consistent visual pattern across all materials, while clearly emphasizing our most important messages. Apply the following principles when placing text within these containers:

image

A

Maximize impact

Always use the largest available shape container that fits the layout to give the text the most impact.

B

Text alignment

Text should be aligned to the top-left or center of the shape block, with consistent clear space around it to ensure readability and visual balance.

C

Preserve spacing

Allow a minimum of 6 points of padding around the image to maintain clarity and avoid crowding.

D

Reinforce the brand

The bottom portion of the shape features branded color blocks that ground the layout and create a strong visual link to the brand identity.

Dos and Don’ts

The following are examples of what you should keep in mind when designing.

Do center the photo within the shape container

Don’t place text on the edge of the shape container

Do make sure to use the largest shape for you information

Don’t overlap the shape containers

Do use a different shade of a color for each shape

Don’t create complexity by mixing color shades on one combination
